Chapel Place

WYPS were commissioned in July 2017 to convert a three-storey commercial office building, situated in the heart of bustling Chapel Allerton, into a number of premier residential apartments.

The Brief

The property was a functioning office space for several businesses at the time of acquisition by the client. Planning permission for a commercial to residential conversion was granted to create several self-contained, premier specification residential apartments. WYPS were contracted to undertake the complete scope of conversion and programme management of the project from approval of planning permission to completion and handover of the properties, including ongoing maintenance for a year after completion.

The Solution

The full scope of development included, partitioning of the entire building across all floors to create functionable living spaces within each of the apartments. Provision of services including water, heating and waste throughout the building both in each apartment and throughout communal areas. The complete renovation of each property including fitting of high specification kitchens, bathrooms, and toilets as well as all joinery and decoration throughout the building. All doors were upgraded to meet residential fire protection standards with all windows being reconditioned. The exterior of the building was landscaped with entrance doorways being reconstructed. The conversion was completed in under four months, which was ahead of schedule to the complete satisfaction of the client.
