Station House

In November 2017 WYPS undertook the conversion of a large commercial property with the requirement of converting the existing premise and shop front into a number of residential apartments while retaining a commercial property beneath.

The Brief

After acquiring the premises there was the need to maximise the available floor area of the building through innovative planning and development to create a number of high specification residential apartments while retaining and developing a busy, fully functioning commercial shop front.

The Solution

The full scope of development resulted in the building being taken back to its existing shell and converted from a two storey to a three storey property.  The building was successfully partitioned to accommodate four high specification, self contained apartments while retaining the commercial premises beneath.  The renovation consisted of all works through to completed decoration, including the installation of kitchen, bathrooms, lighting and power throughout, as well as the creation of modern living spaces suitable for family’s and young professionals.
